Architektura Studio

Architektura is a Melbourne residential architecture and interior design practice specialising in new homes, extensions and heritage projects across metropolitan Melbourne and rural Victoria. They design "residential architecture that connects people and place", and offer a complete turnkey service: as well as the design, they coordinate, cost-manage, tender, appoint and oversee the builder, and sometimes even select the furniture and styling. As they put it, "We are committed to not only great design, but seeing those projects happen."

On Lunchbox, Elm Seed House respectfully revives a century-old Californian bungalow for a modern family. It takes its name from the countless elm seeds found in the roof space, a quirky nod to the home's history. Behind the heritage front, a new rear extension in charred timber and hardwood opens onto the garden and deck, with a sunken lounge at its heart.
