C+M Studio

CM Studio is a Sydney residential architecture and interior design studio that creates "calm, considered homes that elevate the experience of everyday life." Their work ranges from Hargrave Terrace in Paddington and Warren House in Bellevue Hill to coastal homes such as Molong House in Curl Curl and Riverview House in Avalon. They think about space in three dimensions, using thresholds, volumes and voids to expand and contract rooms and frame views. As they put it, "A home should be joyful as you move through its spaces, with an energy that's more than the sum of its parts."

On Lunchbox, Manly Apartment transforms a dark, rabbit-warren '90s apartment into a chic coastal home for a recently retired couple. The studio gutted it and started again with warm natural materials and curving walls that echo nearby Manly beach. The living space is now open and inviting, with quiet private rooms tucked behind doors set into a curved timber feature wall.
