On Lunchbox, Stewart House above Whale Beach shows that a bushfire-rated home doesn't have to look like a bunker. Modest and low-lying from the street, the white-brick house opens up as the land falls away to native bushland. Semi-Detached House reworks an Arts and Crafts semi near the beach, exploring how verandahs and decks can become extra living space and departing from the usual dark, introverted semi layout.
