Content Studio
Content Studio is a Fitzroy-based architecture practice specialising in education, community and cultural projects. It believes in "architecture that's smart, sustainable and innovative", and has delivered work for clients including the Brunswick Montessori Children's House, the City of Wangaratta's Ned Kelly Discovery Hub and the Sydney Road Community School.
The studio also designs homes, from renovations of period houses and townhouse developments to new builds on the coast and in the country. Engagement with Country is part of its design method: the practice works with artist, educator and historian John Patten, of the Yorta Yorta and Bandjalung nations, who reviews the Indigenous heritage of each site to open a conversation with the client about a design response.
On Lunchbox, Bluestone Sanctuary is a renovation of a 170-year-old bluestone miners' cottage in Richmond, made with interior designers The Stylesmiths for a young family of four who needed better function and flow while keeping the home's historic charm.
