Coveney Browne Architects
Coveney Browne Architects is a boutique Perth architecture studio specialising in bespoke new homes and heritage renovations. It is run by Irene Coveney, a registered architect, and Niall Browne, who have worked together for 30 years and between them cover design, documentation and project management for both the exterior and interior of a home. Clients work directly with the two of them, from first sketch to final handover.
The studio aims to create homes that are "deeply connected to their site, respectful of their context, and designed to enrich everyday life." Every project begins with a detailed site analysis, and a real-time 3D model lets clients take a virtual tour and see how summer shade and winter sun will play through the design.
On Lunchbox, The Paperbark restores a heritage cottage in Claremont and replaces unsympathetic 1980s additions, while Lakeview is a fully off-grid farmhouse on a hilltop in Western Australia's Great Southern, shaped to tame the wind and frame the lake views.
