Crump Architects
Crump Architects is a Hobart studio specialising in residential and commercial architecture. It is led by Nathan Crump, a former director and founder of Room 11 Architects, with Ryan Cawthorn and Alex Reed, who between them have more than 40 years of experience and worked together on many projects at Room 11.
The practice offers full architectural services across a range of scales and prides itself on "thoughtful design, open communication and professionalism". Nathan's aim is architecture that is both "liveable and buildable", informed by hands-on experience of building. The studio's portfolio runs from new houses and beach houses to alterations, pools and a brewery.
On Lunchbox, (Gr)ancillary Dwelling is far from an ordinary granny flat. Built above an existing carport in the family's yard, it lets a grandmother stay close to her family while keeping her independence. Where the main house is long and low, the new home is tall and vertical, sitting among the treetops to take in views over Hobart.
See (Gr)ancillary Dwelling on Lunchbox below.
(Gr)ancillary Dwelling is Far From Your Average Granny Flat...
An incredible home for a much-loved grandmother allows her to live independently (but close by). It's better than a retirement village!
