DAH Architecture

DAH Architecture, or DAHA, is a Brisbane studio based in Toowong that has been creating "thoughtfully designed properties since 2014". Led by registered architect David Hansford, the team works across residential, commercial and mixed-use projects, and describes itself as "a safe pair of hands that can help bring your design vision to life beautifully and practically", delivering projects on brief, on time and on budget.

On Lunchbox, Great George reworks an old Queenslander in Paddington that had been in the owners' family for about 30 years. Over that time, extensions on either side had turned it into three separate units and a hotchpotch of dilapidated additions. DAHA helped create a single home from the mess without losing the history the family had built there, working around a flood-prone site with a rear extension, off-form concrete and a cantilever.

A Hotchpotch of Dilapidated Additions Cry Out for Some Attention

This family extended their Queenslander over the years, but something had to be done to pull it all together and make it liveable again.
