David Parsons Architect

David Parsons Architect, now trading as Studio Parsons, is a Sydney practice based in Rushcutters Bay and led by principal architect David Parsons. A registered architect with more than 20 years of experience in single dwellings and residential interiors, David also brings experience in construction and project management, helping clients manage design, budget, buildability and contracts.

The studio helps clients "navigate the complexities of renovating or building a new home", creating "timeless, functional spaces" with particular expertise in indoor–outdoor living and making the most of space in urban settings. Its recent work includes houses and apartments across Sydney's eastern and inner suburbs.

On Lunchbox, Darlington Residence revives a modest two-storey terrace that had been burdened by unsympathetic additions and the wear of time, reworking it with a rear extension, skylights, a feature staircase and built-in joinery.
