On Lunchbox, Bowden Bajko House renovates a tired 1920s bungalow in Colonel Light Gardens for owners who didn't want a "generic, open-plan box". The new rear addition is defined by brick piers inside and a dramatic brick colonnade outside. Spaces flow into one another and feel open and connected, yet the piers give each area its own identity as a distinct room – a thoughtful alternative to the ubiquitous white kitchen, living and dining combination.

A Dramatic Brick Colonnade Links and Defines New Spaces in This Reno

These owners didn't want a 'generic open-plan box'. Instead, a series of interconnected rooms are linked by a dramatic brick colonnade.
