Design + Architecture

Design + Architecture, or DesignAA, is a boutique studio based in Rockhampton that describes its approach as "modern, alternative and dynamic". It works for clients throughout rural Queensland, with a portfolio that ranges from homes to schools, surf life saving clubs, cafes, streetscapes and public spaces, including collaborations with COX on the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and Zoo and Browne Park Stadium.

The studio has "no 'standard designs'", providing original design and documentation for each project while keeping up with the latest sustainable construction techniques.

On Lunchbox, OURHOUSEWANDAL shows how a new family home in Rockhampton can feel spacious and comfortable on a budget. Designed for a young family used to living with minimal space and using it wisely, it relies on standard materials, passive solar design, natural light and cross ventilation.
