Domenic Alvaro Architect on Lunchbox Architect

Domenic Alvaro is a Sydney architect and, at the time his Lunchbox project was published, a principal at Woods Bagot.

His project on Lunchbox, Small House, is his own home in Surry Hills, built on a tiny inner-city site that many others overlooked. Once a car park for three cars, the block measures just six by seven metres. The house makes the most of every centimetre, with prefabricated elements, off-form concrete, a feature staircase, a home office, a garage and a rooftop terrace, showing how much home can fit on a sliver of expensive city land.
