Elements of Home

Elements of Home is a Melbourne residential design practice founded in 2005 by architect Rob Harris. Rob specialises in residential renovations, new homes and subdivisions in and around Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, with recent work in Brighton, Elwood, Caulfield, Ormond, Hughesdale, Albert Park and Toorak.

Having studied architecture in Glasgow and the Netherlands and worked for Melbourne practices before starting his own, Rob works with "a carefully curated team of consultants" to manage every aspect of the design, from concept to completion.

On Lunchbox, A Reimagined Californian Bungalow transforms a 1930s Melbourne bungalow into a light-filled home for a young couple with a growing family. Working with Tennille Joy Interiors, Rob preserved the home's heritage while giving it fresh energy and practicality, with skylights, a mudroom, a media room and colourful built-in joinery.
