Eoghan Lewis Architects

Eoghan Lewis Architects is an architecture studio in Newtown, Sydney, that specialises in residential architecture and small public and cultural buildings. "Our approach is gentle, personal and collaborative," the studio says. "Over time, each project becomes a portrait that is particular to our clients, to place and to purpose."

On Lunchbox, Tempe House adds a refined contemporary extension to a historic sandstone cottage in Sydney's inner west. The heritage home is kept and respected, while the new work at the rear brings in light and space with skylights, sliding doors, built-in joinery, hydronic heating and a garden studio, using timber cladding, recycled brick and plywood.
