Glasshouse Projects

Glasshouse Projects is a boutique Adelaide firm that designs and builds high-end homes, renovations and commercial and retail spaces. Founded by architect Don Iannicelli, it offers architectural design alongside project management and construction, so clients deal with one person from concept design and council planning through to selections, construction and handover.

"We believe that a space has to be timeless – a creation of an enduring elegance," Don says. "Spaces that are the most beautiful are those that are formatively influenced, classically proportioned, sustainable and light filled."

On Lunchbox, Pear Tree House transforms an 1890s sandstone cottage in Prospect into a home for entertaining. The brief – "Give us more space, but don't mess with the character of our beautiful old home" – is met with a rear extension, courtyard and pool that add space without taking over the backyard.
