Guild Architects

Guild Architects is a Melbourne residential practice led by director Penny Guild, a registered architect who spent two years at Robert Mills Architects & Interior Designers and nine with Zen Architects before founding her own studio. It creates "homes for people who care about enduring architecture and sustainable design principles" – homes that are "expressive, functional and delightful to live in."

Projects are run as design-and-build experiences that prioritise the client's budget and schedule, with Penny involved at every step.

On Lunchbox, Jo's House is a light-filled, low-fuss renovation in Seddon for a client who wanted a calm place to unwind, balancing a white palette with recycled timber floors and joinery. Playtime adds a first-floor kids' area to a Northcote bungalow for a family with three young children moving towards a fossil-free future, complete with secret hatches, a bridge and sloped walls.
