Marc Dixon Architects on Lunchbox Architect

Marc Dixon Architect was established in Melbourne in 1998 by Marc Dixon and is based in Carlton. Its services include architecture, interiors, feasibility studies and project management, across single and multiple dwellings, retail and commercial projects, heritage renewal, crisis accommodation, social housing and other community projects, from the CBD and suburbs to coastal, alpine, rural and regional Victoria.

Recent work includes renovation works at the Melbourne City Baths, upgrades to North Melbourne Town Hall, Provans Timber + Hardware in Clifton Hill, and alpine lodges at Falls Creek. Each design is particular to its site and client, with integrated sustainable design from concept through to specification, and the office remains dedicated to architectural education.

On Lunchbox, Melbourne Refurbishment Marc Dixon adds two bedrooms and a new kitchen, dining, laundry and bathrooms to a 1930s house in Melbourne's east, wrapped around a courtyard deck that links the house to a detached studio, with a clerestory tower and a two-storey element bookending the outdoor space.
