Merrylees Architecture

Merrylees Architecture & Interiors is an established Melbourne studio, based in Brighton, specialising in residential architecture. Led by architect Jane Merrylees, it creates beautiful, unique spaces that meld a modern design philosophy with the individual character of each client, aiming to "transform the personal story into a physical space" that will inspire for years to come.

The studio takes time to truly listen, and describes each project as a journey of genuine partnership. Its current work ranges across city and coastal homes, period renovations, interior fitouts, mixed-use and multi-residential projects, with services from feasibility through to completion.

On Lunchbox, The Ridgeway House renovates a Victorian home to create calm, flexible spaces for a busy blended family, visiting relatives and a home office. Elsternwick House preserves the charm of a mid-Victorian cottage while adding modern living spaces, and The Bach Pad in Hampton is a robust, low-maintenance and unexpectedly elegant bachelor pad.

This is not your average Bach Pad, that's for sure...

If your idea of a bach pad is leftover pizza, a brown suede couch, and a bathroom with one threadbare towel, you're in for a surprise!
