My Architect

My Architect is a Melbourne architecture practice based in Cheltenham that creates and transforms homes that "radiate careful consideration, longevity, individuality, efficiency and beauty". Its streamlined team has worked together for more than a decade, delivering homes for hundreds of clients, backed by a network of trusted consultants for an end-to-end service from concept design to completion.

The practice designs new homes, medium-density townhouses that aim to raise expectations of what townhouse living can be, and renovations of homes with architectural merit, from Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco houses to Californian bungalows and modernist treasures. Recent work spans Chelsea, Bentleigh, Essendon, Hampton and Euroa in country Victoria.

On Lunchbox, Torquay House by architect Robert Troup is an urban take on the traditional Aussie beach house. Its sleek upper storey cantilevers over the garage and floats above translucent polycarbonate walls, with fibreglass grating steps at the entry as a nod to the coast.
