Nest Architects
Nest Architects is a Melbourne practice founded in 2006 by Emilio Fuscaldo, creating spaces that "reflect the people that inhabit them, today and in the future". The practice reflects his beliefs in collaboration, environmental sustainability and inclusive design, and provides full architectural design, master planning, interior design and one-off furniture pieces across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, government, industrial and heritage projects.
Day-to-day life, story and values shape each project, with the close-knit team working to imbue their architecture with warmth and meaning, balancing comfort and innovation.
Its Lunchbox projects include Florence Street House, a compact home in a Coburg backyard, Holden Street House, which rescues a Fitzroy North workers cottage, and Rosanna House, a sensitive addition to a mid-century home. Barny in Bank Street is an urban barn in Brunswick, College Place in Albert Park has a playful underwater feel for a scuba-diving owner, Boston Villa revives an abandoned Victorian villa as a sustainable home, and Chatterbox House reimagines a Fitzroy North bungalow.
