Nobbs Radford Architects on Lunchbox Architect

Nobbs Radford Architects is a Sydney practice founded in 2004 by partners Alison Nobbs and Sean Radford, both nominated architects, who are directly involved in the design and oversight of every project, with an emphasis on detailed design solutions. The practice creates "places for calm respite and family engagement", finding beauty through "refined and considered use of material, light and space", and offers architecture, interior architecture and consultancy services. Its work ranges from homes in Paddington, Bondi and Palm Beach to public amenities at Hickson Park, Barangaroo.

On Lunchbox, Birchgrove House simplifies a weatherboard cottage close to the harbour and maximises the outdoor experience on a tight site, with fully operable upper-level walls to the courtyard. Glebe House reinterprets a Victorian cottage in bold off-form concrete, and Riverview House reworks a tired Lower North Shore home to suit the way a family lives.

See Glebe House, Riverview House and more of their work on Lunchbox below.
