Noxon Giffen Architects

Noxon Giffen Architects was established in 2004. After 20 years of architectural practice, it is restructuring and rebranding as Morgia-Giffen Architects, with Stephanie Morgia joining Darren Giffen as co-directors of the new studio.

On Lunchbox, Turramurra House is a new family home on Sydney's leafy North Shore, nestled into a sloping north-facing site with a dramatic garden that opens onto a bushland reserve. Three large Scribbly Gums shaped the design, from the site layout to the structural expression and colour palette, and the house is conceived as an "armature" for a young, growing family to live and evolve in, with a mix of open living areas and private retreats.

A Home Inspired by Established Scribbly Gums on the Site

Scribbly Gums on the site of this new family home inspire the use of timber internally and help to generate the colour palette.
