Parsonson Architects on Lunchbox Architect

Parsonson Architects is a Wellington practice based in Te Aro, operating as a collaborative design studio led by director and registered architect Gerald Parsonson. Its work spans houses, alterations, holiday homes, multi-unit housing, community, hospitality, commercial and education projects.

Its Lunchbox projects include Matai House, an alteration to an early 1900s Wellington home, and Pekapeka Holiday House, which uses simple modular construction to create a holiday home with strong architectural character at an affordable price. Shoal Bay Bach sits beside a historic woolshed on the rugged east coast of southern Hawke's Bay, Waikanae House is a modern fibro 'dune-hopper' on the Kapiti Coast, and Field Way Bach updates a small holiday house on the Waikanae dunes without losing its sense of place.

Herald Garden Studio, a small standalone studio at the end of a Berhampore backyard, won a 2019 NZIA Wellington Architecture Award.
