Pepper & Well

Pepper & Well is an architecture and interiors practice based in Kew East, in Naarm/Melbourne. It is registered with the ARBV as an architectural company, and registered architect Andrew Dal Pozzo is on the team. Their motto sums up the approach neatly: "Architecture with Clarity. Spaces with Personality." Their work covers homes and hospitality, with residential projects such as Lumeah, Myrtle and Daisy alongside Casa Nata in Chadstone, and their process starts with a feasibility stage. As they put it, "let's explore the Possibilities!"

On Lunchbox, they gave This is Kelly, a 1941 brick house in Northcote that had sat empty for five years, a new lease of life. Rather than knocking it down, the team removed a poky old sunroom and a few internal brick walls, then added a bright extension under a skillion roof that opens the living area to the garden. Encaustic tiles on the kitchen island echo the original red brick, and matte white Colorbond on the rear nods to the rendered front.
