On Lunchbox, Southern Outlet House in Launceston sits on a steep slope beside a major arterial road. Borrowing the dazzle technique from early 20th-century naval camouflage, its facade plays with scale for passing traffic while working within a tight budget. The house received a 2014 national commendation and the Esmond Dorney Award for Residential Architecture.
