Rebecca Naughtin Architect

Rebecca Naughtin Architect is a bespoke practice specialising in residential projects, based in Northcote in Melbourne. Rebecca graduated from RMIT with first-class honours in 2004, registered as an architect in Victoria in 2007, and formed the practice in 2012 when she shifted her focus to the residential sector.

The practice delivers projects from conception to completion, specialising in inner-urban briefs challenged by density, government policy and complex procurement. Alongside practice, Rebecca has long contributed to architectural education, tutoring in design at RMIT since 2005.

On Lunchbox, Turn House in Fitzroy North adds a new kitchen and living area to the rear of a Victorian terrace on a 162-square-metre site bounded by a laneway. The addition turns to face the sun and sweeps around the curve of the southern boundary in a curved brick wall, creating a quiet, low-maintenance and protected home.
