Robert Troup Architect
Robert Troup is an architect with the practice My Architect, whose work includes rethinking how the traditional Aussie beach shack might be reinterpreted for more permanent living as coastal towns like Torquay grow.
On Lunchbox, Torquay House is a flexible, minimal home with an urban edge. Its upper storey cantilevers dramatically over a garage with translucent polycarbonate walls, the entry steps are made from fibreglass grating usually found on jetties, and the main living area on the ground floor opens north to the backyard.
