Room 11 on Lunchbox Architect
Room 11 is an architecture practice founded in Tasmania in 2002, with a reputation for exemplary architecture defined by a sensitivity to, and preoccupation with, landscape. Director Thomas Bailey is highly regarded for his construction detailing, which is simple to execute and shows a deep understanding of materials and longevity. The practice has realised well over 100 works, published widely in Australia and internationally.
Room 11 has received many Australian Institute of Architects awards, including national urban design awards for both stages of GASP! (Glenorchy Art and Sculpture Park) in 2013 and 2014, and 2023 Tasmanian residential awards for Triptych and Wild House.
