S R & O

SR & O (Sarah Reid & Others) is a Melbourne design studio working on residential projects, with homes in Albert Park, Port Melbourne, Prahran and Caulfield among its work.

On Lunchbox, Cromwell Residence in South Yarra is a thoughtful, minimal re-design of a 1970s townhouse for a growing family. Rather than gutting the home, the designers kept its timber detailing, natural light and breezy flow, and updated the kitchen, dining and laundry with fresh finishes and new doors and windows. Opening up the boxed-in living areas and reworking the rear means the first view on stepping down into the living room is a stone island bench framed against a lush courtyard.
