Sealand
Sealand Architects is an architecture practice with its studio in the Noosa Hinterland, led by directors David Teeland and Sook Kim. It designs bespoke homes and buildings that reflect each client's aspirations and lifestyle, promoting a relaxed, healthy way of living with spaces that invite people outdoors year-round.
Grounded in sustainable principles, its designs respond to the local landscape and climate to create homes that are timeless, enduring and deeply connected to their surroundings. Sealand provides project management from concept to completion, works closely with local builders, councils and consultants, and designs for clients on the coast as well as elsewhere in Australia and overseas.
On Lunchbox, Bombala in Mooloolaba is a home designed for ageing in place, with large sliding doors opening to views and breezes, concrete thermal mass for steady temperatures, and deep overhangs and timber screens against summer sun and rain.
