Session Architecture

Session Architecture is a design studio led by architect Nick Johnston, providing architectural services for residential and commercial projects across Victoria, with offices in Melbourne and in Paynesville, East Gippsland. It works on new homes, renovations, extensions and commercial fit-outs in cities, regional towns and remote properties.

The studio is named after its 'Session' process, a collaborative approach created by Nick to help clients gain clarity. Over three to four meetings, ideas are tested through sketch options, diagrams, site analysis and 3D modelling to find a natural, bespoke outcome. Nick believes architecture is for everyone and enjoys working across varying budgets and design ambitions. He is a registered architect with a Master of Architecture from RMIT University and an Architeam member.

On Lunchbox, Echidna Studio in Middle Park turns a dark, unused brick garage into a bright independent studio with a home office, lofted sleeping area and a perforated northern facade that glows when someone is home.
