Shelley Roberts Architect

Shelley Roberts Architects is a boutique architectural practice in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, specialising in apartment renovations and refurbishments. It is passionate about transforming urban living spaces with innovative, sustainable design, enhancing the function and look of residential interiors so each renovation reflects its owners' needs and tastes.

As a small practice it offers personalised attention and a collaborative approach, with sustainability at the core of its philosophy through smart, efficient design and eco-friendly materials. Principal Shelley Roberts, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects, came to architecture after a career in haute couture, and brings a particular skill for making smaller, unusual spaces work with surprising efficiency.

On Lunchbox, Laneway Loft transforms an overgrown slice of backyard with decaying outbuildings into a self-contained guest house facing a Melbourne laneway, giving visiting family their own comfortable space.
