Steven Lloyd Architecture
Steven Lloyd Architecture is the Auckland practice of registered architect Steven Lloyd, who has more than 20 years' experience across architecture and theatre. The practice values the uniqueness of every commission, from small additions to large new houses, transforming each client's brief into spaces that uplift everyday life.
Drawing on wide-ranging technical, construction and material knowledge, it works closely with artisans and craftspeople to create bespoke design solutions. As an environmentally conscious practice, it seeks natural ventilation, daylighting and heating strategies, and selects materials carefully to maximise energy efficiency and minimise carbon footprint.
On Lunchbox, the practice contributed to Crinkle Cut, a coastal home on a corner site among pōhutukawa trees, where a facade of adjustable louvred doors lets the owners balance privacy, light and breeze.

Louvres, clerestory windows, and a unique floor plan help this coastal retreat perfectly connect with its natural environment.
