Studio101 Architects

Studio101 Architects is a Geelong practice led by founding architect and director Peter Woolard, who brings more than 25 years' experience with leading design firms in Geelong and the United States. An A+ practice member of the Australian Institute of Architects, it offers a full service from concept design through to contract administration.

The practice pursues a contemporary and refined form of sustainable architecture based on a modernist approach to composition and detail, carefully considering materials, texture, light and space. Each design responds to the client's aspirations, site, brief and budget, with a particular focus on new homes and transforming existing ones. It works throughout the Geelong region, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast, with a regional presence in Lorne and Derrinallum.

On Lunchbox, Dorman Beach House rises above the Great Ocean Road in Lorne on the site of a burnt-out home, using its steep slope to frame views in a robust, low-maintenance design inspired by mid-century modernism.
