studioplusthree

studioplusthree is a Sydney design studio working across architecture, exhibition design, theatre, installation and furniture design.

On Lunchbox, its residential work transforms older inner-west homes. Llewellyn House turns a derelict Federation-era house on a narrow inner-city site into an open, light-filled home for two musicians, using contrasting light, colour and materials to make a slim rear extension feel bright, warm and rich. Cooks River House in Hurlstone Park extends a compact Federation home on a steep riverside site while keeping the wild character of its backyard, so the family's children can grow up with an adventure playground on their doorstep.

It's Hard to Believe This Home is Tucked in Sydney's Inner-west.

With its lush, wild setting, this home could be worlds away from the city and that's exactly what the owners wanted to achieve.
