Supercontext
Supercontext is a Sydney architecture studio based in Chippendale, founded in 2013 by director Andrew Daly, a University Medal graduate of the University of Sydney. The studio works on projects locally and interstate, and its portfolio ranges from terrace renovations and houses to early learning centres and preschools, community buildings, a mixed-use centre, a recording studio and a bookshop.
On Lunchbox, Paddington House substantially renovates a Paddington terrace, opening the ground floor to the backyard and inserting a garage off the rear lane topped with a rooftop garden, while leaving traces of the original to tell the home's story. Glebe House adds a second storey to a single-storey worker's cottage on a four-metre-wide site in a heritage conservation area, carefully planning new bedrooms and bathrooms to maximise light and outlook while keeping the existing courtyard.

Traces of the Original Are Left to Tell the Story of Paddington Reno
The substantial renovation of this terrace transforms the home, but reminders of the past are woven in to create a rich tapestry.
Addition on a Narrow Four Metre-wide Site Defies Its Constraints
Defying its narrow site, challenging east-west orientation and heritage restrictions, this skinny home manages to feel spacious.
