Team Green Architects on Lunchbox Architect

Team Green Architects is a Queenstown practice established in 2013 by Siân Taylor and Mark Read. Its work across Queenstown and Wānaka focuses on high-performance homes tailored to the Southern Lakes region's striking landscapes and challenging climate, combining thoughtful architecture with world-class performance.

Siân Taylor was one of the first New Zealand architects to become Passive House certified, which reshaped her approach to design, and in 2019 she co-founded New Zealand Architects Declare. The practice listens closely to clients, treating their input as vital, and works with a network of trusted consultants and contractors. Its Threepwood Passive House won NZIA Southern and National Architecture Awards in 2021.

On Lunchbox, Olive Grove House is a modest, energy-efficient single-level home near the Kawarau Gorge in Central Otago, while Wakatipu Guest House offers simple, robust guest accommodation for up to eight people on a rural property in Dalefield.
