Teeland Architects Featured on Lunchbox Architect

Teeland Architects is a Noosa architecture practice whose featured work draws on the environment and relaxed lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast.

On Lunchbox, Sunday House modernises a late-1970s brick beach house at Little Cove that backs onto Noosa National Park and its subtropical rainforest. The brief was to update the dated, dark home while keeping as much of the existing structure as possible, working with the building as found. The design reworks the rear of the house, once largely a solid brick wall, to take better advantage of its setting, while new timber cladding, zinc, render, light wells and batten screens give the old beach house a fresh, contemporary character with a strong connection between inside and out.
