Thy Tran Architecture

Thy Tran Architecture is an architecture practice whose featured work combines resilience, sustainability and comfort.

On Lunchbox, Blairgowrie Gable Beach House is a retirement home for a Melbourne couple, steps from the beach on the Mornington Peninsula. Three sleek gable pavilions echo the shapes of nearby beach shacks with a bold modern twist, clad in dark aluminium and metal to withstand the harsh coastal and bushfire-prone setting. Designed for ageing in place, the all-electric home uses double glazing, solar power and sustainable materials, with polished concrete floors and living spaces that open to the outdoors.
