Turco and Associates on Lunchbox Architect

Turco and Associates is a practice with studios in South Melbourne and Deakin in Canberra.

On Lunchbox, Aireys Inlet House is a second home in the bush north of Aireys Inlet, near the start of the Great Ocean Road, for a busy Melbourne family of five. Designed as a relaxing counterpoint to city life, it is a contemporary response to the rural homestead, using the horizontal planes of the deck and roofline around the living areas to frame views and create a seamless physical connection with the outdoors. Passive solar design, thermal mass, eaves and batten screens help it sit comfortably in its coastal bush setting.
