Urban Possible

Urban Possible, now known as UP Architecture, is a Sydney architecture practice whose work spans multi-residential developments, urban environments, industrial revitalisation, modular housing prototypes and individual houses, with projects in Sydney and overseas.

On Lunchbox, Sydney Blue Mountains House is a weekend house for two avid rock climbers, a professor and a gallery owner, designed to host fellow climbers and visiting artists. The simple single-storey, three-bedroom home includes a sauna for tired climbers, a studio for artists and a space for entertaining. Its two parts are joined by a butterfly roof, and tough materials, including Corten steel, recycled timber and Australian hardwoods, suit its bushfire-prone setting among the gum trees.
