YSC Architects

YSC Architects is an architecture studio based in the City of Bayside in Melbourne, specialising in residential new homes and renovations. It was established in 2014 by founder Sabino Choi, who has been shaping spaces since 2006 and brings experience from New Zealand and the United Kingdom, including educational, commercial and institutional projects.

The studio sees architecture as a journey of personal discovery. Each client's story is integral to its design process, guiding homes that reflect their identity and enhance the way they live. Its approach is deeply collaborative, aiming to make each project a personalised sanctuary tailored to the people who will call it home, with every detail crafted from the first sketch to the final touch.

On Lunchbox, Empress House in Kingsville takes inspiration from a jewellery box. The heritage home's front rooms are kept as bedrooms, while an L-shaped rear addition orients living areas north into abundant natural light and flows out to the backyard.
