Pascale Gomes-McNabb Design

Pascale Gomes-McNabb Design (PGMD) is an interior design practice that creates beautiful, immersive spaces for leisure, work and living. It works closely with clients, listening carefully to their needs and designing in response to site, whether the fabric and spirit of an existing building or the ambition of a new one. "Where others may see constraint, we see opportunity."

With a long history in hospitality, including restaurants such as Stokehouse, Cutler & Co and Penfolds Magill Estate, the practice puts no boundaries on the kinds of projects it takes on, and is drawn to clients with strong ideas and places with character. Materiality is central to its work: it hates waste, looks to inventively reuse surfaces and finishes, and loves the contrast between raw and luxe.

On Lunchbox, Sandy Bay Heritage Cottage, with Matt Williams Architects, transforms an 1830s sandstone cottage in Hobart with just 8 square metres added, stabilising the old structure and replacing poor rear extensions with a contemporary addition.
