VIEWTHRU is a Northern Beaches building design practice in Sydney specialising in bespoke residential design. Principal building designer and director Jim O'Brien brings 30 years of experience in building design, contract management, coordination and delivery of residential projects.

On Lunchbox, Driftwood in Warriewood is a new coastal home that makes the most of ocean views while feeling intimate and private, rather than a glass box on stilts. Balgowlah Residence is Jim's own Californian bungalow, where 1970s additions that overheated in the afternoon sun were replaced with a new rear extension for family life.
