ROAM Architects

ROAM is a Melbourne architecture studio, led by directors Rod Allan and Amanda Robinson, designing spaces for people, place and purpose. It works across education, healthcare, residential and civic projects, partnering with clients to deliver sustainable, high-performance environments that support wellbeing and everyday use.

The studio's approach combines rigour with a clear understanding of how people actually use spaces, focusing on outcomes that are practical, durable and responsive from early strategy through to delivery. ROAM sees good design as a framework for living, and treats healthy buildings as fundamental rather than an add-on.

On Lunchbox, Yarraville Light House brings light into the heart of a Victorian cottage on a block just six metres wide and 50 metres long, while Little Maggie adds a light-filled garden extension to a single-fronted weatherboard cottage in Yarraville.
