Studio53 Architects on Lunchbox Architect

Studio53 Architects is a Perth architecture and interior design practice.

On Lunchbox, Hamersley Road Residence in Subiaco converts an early 1900s worker's cottage, untouched for many years, into a practical modern family home. The original house's external timberwork, moulded plaster, handmade tiles and flannel flower glass give it a distinct arts and crafts character, which the renovation restores and reinterprets. A second-storey addition, a courtyard and batten screens create flexible family living on a small block, while recycled brick and a colourful interior tie old and new together.
