WOWOWA on Lunchbox Architect

WOWOWA Architecture is a Melbourne architecture and interiors practice based in Collingwood. Describing themselves as storytellers, story listeners and story makers, the team offers a deeply bespoke experience for clients who want to build more than a house. As "spatial biographers", they guide clients through a collaborative process to draw out their own visual language.

The practice has been called expert colourists, marrying functionality and practicality with the joy and delight of everyday life. It believes architecture should have a sense of humour and whimsy, and its residential service is holistic, curating interiors that bring new furniture and art together with treasured heirlooms. It also offers heritage advice.

On Lunchbox, Forever House in Surrey Hills adds a nugget-like pavilion beneath the eaves of a triple-fronted bungalow, echoing and extending the original's architectural language. Casa de Gatos in Fitzroy North reworks a Victorian worker's cottage for a couple, their two dogs and two cats, complete with an entire wall for scratching.
