The home has been designed to sit lightly on the ground using a balance of old and new, in exposed timbers, recycled bricks and natural, raw materials.
Large sliding glass doors, running the length of the home, allow the owner to 'live in the environment' (and it's a pretty nice environment) and not isolate herself from the climate.
The segments of recycled brick walls also act as great thermal mass for the home, helping to moderate the internal temperature during hot and cold extremes.
The generous internal wall space, essential for displaying artwork, together with spacious entertaining areas which seem to melt into the outdoors when the doors are open, all combine to create a stunning residential design.
